"TAPAS" AND WINE
Madrid Tapas Tour
Experience the true Spanish lifestyle with traditional food and drink. Our aim is to leave you with a lasting feeling for the city and its people, whilst indulging in fabulous tapas and drinks.
On the tour we will review the historical origins of tapas in Spain and the subsequent development and visit of the old Castilian Mesones.
We will stroll through the most charming and exciting corners of historic Madrid and stop at the most traditional taverns and bars/restaurants to sample authentic Spanish delicacies, which may include chorizo in cider, seafood, “tapitas y pinchos” – similar to canapés – with fine wines or sherry.
Throughout the tour we will help you with translation while providing you with interesting local facts about tradition, history, famous literary characters who have lived here, and the myths of Madrid, and on the other hand, we explain the tradition of food and wine while advising you on local specialities.

Wine tourism around Madrid

Wine tourism in the surroundings of Madrid (Southeast region), including wine tasting in an old 17th century convent in Colmenar de Oreja. Wine tasting in Chinchón or Bodegas Pablo Morate in Valdelaguna, possibility of lunch in famous Cuevas-Almazara. Visits to Medieval Villages. Explanations of medieval monuments. VIP treatment.
At 10 a.m., we pick you up at your hotel and in an executive car, we will take you to the most fertile plain of Madrid, the Sub-area of Arganda del Rey, D.O. Madrid. Tempranillo and Garnacha reds, and Airén, Malvar and Albillo whites are the main grape varieties.
We drive along the N-III to Tielmes, where we will visit A Bodega and Almazara in the “Tagonius” winery, and taste a wine that in 10 years has reached a score of 95 points according to R.Parker.
We will continue to Valdelaguna, where we will not only taste the wines of this winery (Pablo Morate) but also admire the “Wine Museum” in an 18th century manor house.
At 14:00 hours, we will visit Chinchón, medieval village of Madrid, also famous for its wines, its Plaza Mayor (Bullfighting, Theatre), its Castle of the 15th century, its Monastery of the Augustinians (today Parador de Turismo) and a Famous Restaurant (where Orson Wells had lunch) (former 18th century farmhouse).
And we continue our Wine Tourism Route through Madrid in Colmenar de Oreja, where we will visit and taste the wines of Jesús Díaz, located in a former Franciscan convent from the 15th century, functioning since 1898 as a winery.
We will also see its Plaza Mayor, built over a ravine, under which a stream runs, giving rise to fountains and watering holes. In the same town, we will be able to take a look at the Museum of the Czech Ulpiano, a native painter, romantic, landscape and impressionist.

Vip Tour Ribera del Duero
Modality: Groups of 1 to 4 persons | With children up to 6 persons
Visit to the Wine Museum in the spectacular Medieval Castle of Peñafiel. Transport to and from Madrid. Visits to wineries with a wine expert and Heritage Guide. Transport by executive Minivan car. Includes a tasting of Ribera del Duero wineries. Possibility of lunch on a water mill on the river. VIP treatment.
At 10 am we pick you up at your hotel to go to Ribera del Duero, 1 hour and 45 minutes from Madrid. Our route Madrid N-III to Aranda D., turn to N-122 to Peñafiel and surroundings. We will visit four of the best wineries in this region, Cepa 21, Viña Pesquera or Arzuaga, Vit.Valbuena and Bodega Emina (Matarromera Group).
At 12 noon visit to the “Bodega Cepa 21” for a Wine Tasting.12 noon visit to the “Bodega Emina” – we will enjoy the “Centro de Interpretación del Vino y del Duero”, the Jardín de las Variedades, and the Bodega with a Professional Wine Tasting, tasting the best wines of the winery.
Afterwards, a short visit to the Vit. Valbuena Winery.
16 p.m. we will visit the Wine Museum of Peñafiel, located inside the Casthe.
17.30 p.m. We return to Madrid and drop you off at your hotel two hours later.
