Masterpieces Prado

You You will have two hours of Master Class in the Prado Museum (maybe the best classic gallery of l european painters in the world) focusing on key artworks and exploring and discussing the highligts of the collection, as well as we decode the layers of meaning and the underlying hidden messages.

We will highlight the Spanish Barroque Painters (El Greco; Ribera; Murillo; Zurbarán; and Velazquez”Master of Masters”; we analized the deep Realism and Naturalism of the Spanish Golden Century , but without missing Goya and his deep analysis of reality.

The explosión of the sensual Venetian color and artistic revolution at XVI century(Tiziano and Tintoretto), as well as the exquisite Flemish panels of R.Van Weyden and the unclassifiable and surrealistic Jeróme Bosch, to end with “The Barroque Flemish “voluptuous brushstrokes “of Rubens and Van Dick.

We will analize the interrelations between the different schools and their religious, sociocultural and political influences.

This a truly engaging learning experience designed and led by a fully especialized in Tourism and Art History, working at Prado Museum during the last 25 years, Juan Maquieira.
